Hood Scouts: Embracing the Spirit of Adventure

We are a family of three who embarked on a “digital nomad” journey from the U.S., eventually finding ourselves living in Lisbon a few years later. Unearthing the hidden gems of new cities has always been a passion of ours. However, as adults, we find motivation easily, but our daughter sometimes found the experience a bit "too boring." To infuse our wanderings with a sense of excitement, we began creating small clue hunts for her.

We started calling ourselves “hood scouts,” with our ultimate goal being to "find the good in the hood." Robert, the designer among us, takes joy in crafting illustrations and books, which allows him to step away from the screen. Erika and Finley revel in uncovering new routes, as well as concocting puzzles and clues for our adventures.

Every aspect of our creations is meticulously designed and handcrafted right here in Portugal. We collaborate with local printers to bring our books, stands, and other materials to life.
